Volunteer Needs in the Classroom
Become a reading buddy to an individual child.
Read, lead sing-a-longs, tell Bible stories or play a musical instrument to a classroom.
Play games in the classroom or on the playground.
Complete arts and crafts projects
Support the teachers by cleaning rooms, washing dishes, sanitizing toys, creating bulletin boards, shopping for supplies, running errands, etc.
Sew pillows or stuffed animals.
Sit with children during staff/parent meetings.
Mentor a child. Correspond via mail/phone to provide encouragement.
Adopt a classroom and provide a monthly birthday celebration.
Plan a holiday party for a class or the whole school.
Send birthday cards and holiday greetings to children
