The Turner Foundation recently donated $25,000 toward important improvements at the Wayne Reed Christian Childcare Center. The foundation’s generous donation paid for the replacement of an obsolete security system and the addition of a commercial dishwasher and a new washer/dryer unit. The grant will also cover half of the costs for repainting the building’s interior and exterior as well as a cap for the wall of the playground to keep water from seeping down into the concrete blocks and ruining the paint.
The Turner Foundation has been a faithful supporter to the center for years. “They were responsible for getting us over a financial mountain when they granted us $150,000 to be allocated over three years,” says board member Sandra Collins.
